The Most Important Thing is That Mobile App Testing Service Takes Longer That One Might Suggest. Even If you Think That It Does, It Will Take More Time.

Mobile devices are powered by rechargeable batteries. Therefore, they have to go to sleep mode if they have not been used for a couple of minutes. It means that you will have to switch off your mobile before testing it. But it is a time-consuming procedure especially when several mobile devices are simultaneously tested. Disabling automatic block system on many mobile devices is possible. However, it is desirable to install the most current operating systems on cell phone gadgets.

When mobile device goes into sleep mode, it causes inconveniences in using some automated testing systems that require time for data processing (for instance, making and comparing screenshots). The mobile device is likely to go to sleep mode during testing process.

Then the problem with typesetting of a particular text occurs (for example, a valid page URL). Then, the testers have no choice but to enter carefully long texts on several mobile devices with different user interfaces.  

To provide mobile application testing service while you are receiving incoming calls, SMS on your device you will have to change SIM cards, getting out the card from one device and switching it to another one and so on. To do so, you will need to remove the charging batteries from the gadgets.

It often happens that certain widgets need to be transferred through Bluetooth. To test GPS interface, you will need specialized tools, but this is not the guarantee that it will work in the similar way as it would do in real-world environment. To check whether Wi-Fi / 3G signal strength is weak or wi-fi or 3G indicator is missing it is often necessary to create a laboratory or use improvised means like foil containers.

It is easy to take screenshots or video on mobile devices, especially if testable phone is removed from a computer according to the test requirements or other reasons. For instance, built-in screenshot functionality on Android devices is made available only to the Android 4.0 APls.

Typically, mobile application testing companies alternate mobile devices to test applications on. This way of testing is not as popular as synchronized cross-device mobile app testing (parallel testing of multiple mobile devices).
